Whenever you eat Dahi Vada, Chat, Samosa or Parathas, you are always remembering meethi chutney. So that here we are going to share Imli (Tamarind) ki Meethi Chutney recipe. It is very easy and quick recipe. I hope you will definitely make it and enjoy with paratha, chat or samosa etc.



Imli Meethi Chutney Recipe - Tamarind Chutney Recipe

Ingredients for Imli Meethi Chutney:

Tamarind or imli - 01 cup (soaked in hot water for 3-4 hours),
Jaggery or sugar - 03 cups,
Raisins - 1/4 cup,
Dry dates or chuhare - 5-6 (finely chopped),
Garam masala - 01tsp,
Red chilli powder - 01 tsp,
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp,
Black salt - 3/4 tsp,
Salt to taste.

How to Make Imli Meethi Chutney:

First of all boil the Tamarind (Imli) with water for five minutes. Live it for 20-25 minutes, when tamarind cool down, mash it and strain.

Now grate the jaggery and add to the tamarind paste. Add one cup of water to the tamarind and Jaggery paste, put the pot on gas and cook on medium flame. 

When the Jaggery melts and mixture is boiling allow simmer. Add raisins and chopped dry dates. Cook for the 8-10 minutes, stir the mixture time to time.

When the solution gets thicker, add garam masala powder, red chilli powder, black salt and plane salt also. Switch off the gas. Add cardamom powder.

Your Imli (tamarind) Chutney is ready now. Serve it with dahi wada, paratha, samosa etc.
