Moong dal halwa is mainly prepared during
winters as it is supposed to keep body warm. But this halwa requires lot of patience and its rich in ghee too. It's good for children because they need heavy and rich diet.
Ingredients for Moong Dal Halwa:
Yellow moong dal - 200 gram (soaked in water for 8 hours),
Milk - 1/2 lit, Sugar - 200 gram,
Ghee - 200 gram,
Chopped cashew - 2 tbsp,
Chopped almonds - 2 tbsp,
Saffron - 2 pinch (soaked in milk).

How to Make Moong Dal Halwa:
In a grinder, take all soaked moong dal and make a smooth paste.
Heat ghee in a pan and add moong dal paste, fry it simmer for 5-6 minuets.
When the paste get dry and brown add boil milk and stir frequently.
When the mixture get thicker or absorb the milk, add sugar. Stir the mixture frequently.
When the ghee comes out from the mixture add soaked kesar to the halwa, this will give the good colour as well as smell also.
Your Moong Dal
Halwa is ready now.
Garnish it with chopped cashew and almond and serve to your family or friends.
